The American Labrador
American Labradors are always taller than English Labradors. They have a more muscular, lean look to them. The American Lab is also favored compared to the English Lab. They are faster, can walk hard fields or trails, swim well, and are tailored to be a worker. They also last longer during long days of being outside and active.
The English Labrador
English Labradors are have a short, stocky build compared to American Labradors. When seen next to an American Lab, they will not have as much of a muscular look, but rather a chubby complex. Although English Labs can still do the hard work, they are not as efficient, and would likely be better as house dogs. If you are looking for an active companion, English Labs won't do.
